I see no raisin to leave the 360 within the next couple years for 3D gimmicks and Kinect 2 peripherals.
I have to agree with this entirely. Features are nice, especially if they actually compliment gameplay/The hardware its being used for, but they aren't a selling point at all. I mean, who bought Minecraft or Starcraft 2 just to play it in 3D? People didn't exactly Fly to the stores to purchase
Starfox 64 3D just because they heard it was 3D(pun intended). 3D is a nice feature to have, but is not a selling point. Games and technology will do that.

including support for Blu-ray, native 3D output and glasses, concurrent apps, and additional sensor and peripheral support.
Blu-Ray support is awesome. My major issue with it though is load times. Only real way to counteract this is to download/install the game to the HDD. Hopefully they will have a suitable HDD at launch
built into the fucking machine to compensate for this.
Wish it was more but DDR4? Unff...

Alongside a promised 6x performance increase, there’s also mention of true 1080p output
Only 6 times performance support? So its as powerful as most
DX10 cards? This is what makes me think its a rumour. It would be a stupid decision to choose to launch console hardware that couldnt do DX12 and didnt have the ability to support DX13 (possibly?) software as well. This isn't prepping for the future trying to last another 5-7 years, this is just stagnating the market with shitty hardware.
Hah! The current gen consoles barely do 720p without upscaling (360
and PS3). The hardware literally cannot take it. Even then they have to do rendering and loading tricks, like scale down the FPS (most modern console games run at 30FPS), have weapons and guns take up more screen space so its easier on the engine to render less of whats on the screen at a time, and lower the field of view (FoV in Call of duty: modern Warfare 2 is 65. Ouch!).

This article seems just baseless rumour to me. Please
